1.25.2024 – Virtual Chapter Roundtables

Join us on Thursday, January 25th for the first of our two part round-table series to help chapter members prepare for the Spring of 2024. In this session we’ll have four breakout rooms where chapters members can discuss a topic, share best practices and get new ideas for their chapter. Fraternity staff will facilitate each session and give an overview of the topic and then open it up for discussion.

Topics for January 25th:

Our Ritual: More than The Gold Book
Facilitator: Thomas Fox, Executive Director
Target Audience: Ritual Chair ; Sergeant at Arms ; All officers and those who may have speaking roles as a part of ritual.
Description: Join us for a discussion about Psi Upsilon’s Ritual: The Gold Book, where our Ritual comes from and how to ensure your members and new members are getting the most from their experience. We’ll share best practices, how best to perform our ceremonies, and ways to discuss the ritual with our members.

Establishing and Growing Your Alumni Relations Program
Facilitator: Stephan Oeschle, Director of Chapter Services
Target Audience: Alumni, Public Relations, and Special Events Chairs, Angeloi focused on Alumni Relations
Description: How do we get more help from our Alumni? This is a question every chapter asks at some point or another. We’ll talk about the essential steps to building a successful alumni relationship and growing support for your chapter. Whether you have an existing, actively engaged Alumni support network or not there are always opportunities to build or grow.

Service to Society: Building a Philanthropy and Service Program
Facilitator: Justin Sines, Chapter Services Coordinator
Target Audience: Philanthropy and Service Chairs, Health and Wellness Chairs (we’ll also be discussing the Psi U Cares Program), Angeloi who oversee these positions Description: This meeting will cover the basics of Service projects and Philanthropy event planning: from choosing the right event, budgeting, delegation, day-of event management, and the need to look back and find ways the event could improve if you did it again. This session will better prepare you and your chapter to choose, plan, and execute a successful event year after year. Will also include Psi U Cares program and encourage participation in Out of the Darkness walks
