9.10.19 – Announcing the Graduate Student Scholarship Program

The Psi Upsilon Foundation is pleased t announce the expansion of the scholarship program with the introduction of Graduate Scholarships to compliment the successful long-running undergraduate scholarship program. The program is set to launch with the 2019-20 scholarship season commencing in November.

Foundation Chair Alex Senchak, Eta (Lehigh) ‘06 explains “The Foundation has been focused on expanding meaningful programs to support the needs of the many generations of brothers of our organization. We want to encourage the pursuit of further study and professional degrees of members especially for those who show exceptional promise and drive. Graduate studies will engage more fully with all members of our brotherhood.” The expanded offering is made possible through generous gifts to support endowed scholarships and the Foundation will continue the funding of the undergraduate scholarships at the same level. “It was important that we not take anything away from the current program” says Senchak.

The new merit-based program is open degree awarding graduate studies from masters to doctorates in research and other professional degrees. The Foundation’s scholarship committee will review the applications with an emphasis towards the candidate’s commitment to the values of the Fraternity – the highest commitment to moral, intellectual, and social excellence. Selected candidates will demonstrate promise of continued significant contributions which are likely to reflect creativity, originality and initiative with promise to be an influential figure within their fields of endeavor.
