Fall 2021 Recruitment Update

New member class from the Tau Epsilon (Clemson),

While every campus has had different results, in general, Greek Life is seeing more members come out for rush and look to join fraternities and sororities – and we’ve seen success in some of our chapters so far this Fall. With some chapters having had record setting New Member classes including 41 pledges at the Epsilon Nu Chapter at Michigan State, 30 pledges at the Zeta Zeta at the University of British Columbia, 24 at the Lambda Sigma at Pepperdine University and 18 at the Tau Epsilon at Clemson University. So far 11 chapters have reported 165 new members this fall. Many chapters are just finishing their Fall recruitment periods and we’re optimistic for their success this semester and the next.

Cryptocurrency Investing Trends Chicago Event

On September 16 brothers gathered in the beautiful Chicago Yacht Club to discuss investing in Cryptocurrency and share information and trends around blockchain technology. The Chatham house rule was in effect to encourage candor and there are no recordings, but the remarks from Anthony Saliba, CEO of Mercury Digital Assets and Matrix Holding Group, were informative and thought provoking. (By the way, we discovered during the event Tony is an uncle of Psi U Ben Coupe, Chi ’14). There was lively discussion around these emerging technologies. Special thanks to Douglas Jackman, Omega ’89, Matthew Eckenrode, Epsilon Nu ’04, and Peter Layton, Omega ’82, who have been instrumental in organizing this evening; and Jon Szynkowski, Epsilon Nu ’06, Martin Brayboy, Gamma ’84, and Alex Senchak, Eta ’06, who sponsored it. There have already been calls for a followup event in the spring.
As a followup, the Psi U Foundation is now accepting donations of Cryptocurrency via Gemini (see the article in the Review below).
