Peter J. Layton

I am one of the founding partners of Blackthorne Capital Management, LLC, and is the owner of the family of Warhawk Funds. I serve as the Chairman of the BOX Exchange Group, a partner of Efficient Capital Management, and a Member of Hyde Park Angels. I am also the CEO of The Tallgrass Group, the parent company of various corporations specializing in different aspects of ecological restoration.
I have been a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago, Duke University, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Pennsylvania.
I graduated from the University of Chicago with an AB in economics and an MBA in Finance.

I was a partner at both The Hull Group and Goldman Sachs & Co. from where I retired from in 2005. Currently, I serve on several advisory boards and boards of directors. Aside from serving as Chairman of the Boards of BOX Market, LLC., BOX Digital, LLC., and BOX Holdings Group, LLC, I also hold board membership positions including acting as a member of Efficient Capital Management Advisory Committee, a member of the Nicholas School of the Environment Board of Visitors at Duke University, a member of Hyde Park Angels, an early-stage investment organization, a member of the Entrepreneurship Advisory Board at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater, a former member of the College Visiting Committee at the University of Chicago, a former member of the Enactus Worldwide Board of Directors, and former President of Chicago Wilderness Trust.
David Mace

David Mace is a Managing Director at GI Partners and leads the IT Infrastructure sector investment team as well as the firm’s investments in the wine industry and also sits on the investment committees for the private equity and data infrastructure strategies. GI Partners invests $100-800 million of equity for control in growing North American businesses and partners with management teams as an active owner to accelerate growth, increase operating discipline, nurture organizations, and undertake strategic acquisitions. Prior to joining GI Partners, Mr. Mace was with Palladium Equity Partners in New York, JH Whitney in New York and San Francisco, and Bear, Stearns & Co. in New York. He currently serves on the boards of Sectigo (cybersecurity), SDI (secure managed wireless connectivity), Flexential (colocation and cloud), and Far Niente (fine wine) and previously had board responsibilities for a variety of other technology and consumer companies.
