2024 5th Annual Gilrane Economic Symposium Recap


On December 5th, 2024, the 5th Annual Gilrane Economic Symposium was held in Greenwich, CT at the Greenwich Country Club Captain’s Grill. Brother Patrick Gilrane, Psi ’83 (Hamilton) acted as moderator for Lawrence Rakers, Omicron ‘86 (Illinois) – Mutual Fund Manger at Fidelity Investments, and Christopher P. Fuller, Zeta ’88 (Dartmouth) – Managing Partner at Verus Investment Partners, LLC. The panel discussed expectations for the 2025 economic landscape. The annual speaker panel, endowed in Brother Gilrane’s honor, was followed by three entrepreneurial pitches courtesy of the FishFund. Speakers representing their companies presented and took rapid fire questions from the audience. The paid event brought together brothers from around the country. Next year’s GES and FishFund Venture Presentations are scheduled for December in NYC

Madrona Distillery is a gin-focused spirits producer located in Redmond, Washington.  We began building the business three years ago and opened our doors in February of 2024.  To date we have accumulated 7 international awards including 5 gold medals.  Product sales channels include our tasting room, direct distribution and a regional wholesaler.  
The business is wholly owned by Tom Allan and his wife Anne.  The name Madrona honors the beautiful red-barked trees that line the shores of their favorite sailing destination, The San Juan Islands of northwest Washington.  Some of the botanicals used in production are harvested from their home on Orcas Island.

Cameron Turner is founder and CEO of TRUIFY.AI, serving US Fortune 500 with AI solutions.  Drawing from 30 years experience in enterprise data, including the founding of two companies: ClickStream, (acq. Microsoft 2009) and Datorium )acq. Kin+Carta (LON:KCT) 2021) Cameron brings a wealth of hands-of experience in leading teams to deploy AI solutions that uniquely fit the technology and culture of his clients.  Cameron also serves as General Partner of Oxonian Ventures, a VC fund investing in Oxford University graduates, and volunteers with the Venture Studio at the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at Stanford University.  Cameron received his BA from Dartmouth College (Zeta, ’96), MBA from Oxford University and MS in Statistics/AI from Stanford University.

2024 All-PsiU Golf Outing Recap

Brothers from around the country assembled at The Tuxedo Club in Tuxedo Park, NY for the first All-PsiU Golf Outing (of the modern era, at least). Thank you to our generous sponsor S. Douglas Hahn, Omega ’89 (University of Chicago), for hosting us at the fine course.  

It was a beautiful day of golf followed by an excellent reception. Play included Brothers from the Lambda, Omega, Gamma, Iota, Eta, and Beta Beta chapters, with class years ranging from 1978 to 2021.
