Presentation 1
Echo Investing
Presentation by Jay Riemenschneider, Beta Alpha’91 ( Miami University of Ohio) & Omar Gutierrez, MD (Fiji)
Echo Investing is a FinTech platform that offers a complete ecosystem for all people, the experienced and the inexperienced alike, to learn about investing, share portfolios and investment philosophies, and interact via our internal social media. What makes Echo unique is our ability to connect expert investors and influencers with the novice. Here, the new investor connects with individuals they can benchmark and trust while benefitting from their investment expertise by copying their portfolios. (We call this “echoing.”) Expert investors who have demonstrable track records monetize their investing skills in a way that easily and securely helps the broader community while benefitting themselves financially and professionally. “Robinhood meets Patreon” captures our long-term vision. Jay Riemenschneider has a strong background in fund-development honed during a decade-plus of work in Major Gifts and capital campaign consulting throughout the United States, but with heavy concentration in the Midwest, Mid-Atlantic, and South, and across a wide range of vertical markets. He has a particular interest in working with churches to achieve their fund-raising goals, and more recently has gained experience in fund-raising for economic development organizations. Altogether, he has worked on campaigns whose goals approach $500M. It has been a pleasure to transition towards connecting worthwhile entrepreneurship ventures (with high impact potential) and potential angel investors. He is a graduate of Western Reserve Academy and Miami University. At Miami, he was the president of the Psi Upsilon Fraternity.
