Content Creator For the Psi Upsilon Foundation (Volunteer)

The Psi Upsilon Foundation seeks talented writers and content creators to produce compelling long-form articles for our various alumni publications. This position offers the flexibility to contribute meaningful content, expand your Psi Upsilon network and knowledge, and support our brotherhood. Example interviews and articles fill publications like the Beacon, Reflections Journal of Psi Upsilon History, and Garnet Report.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop article topics relevant to the Psi Upsilon brotherhood in partnership with the editorial staff
  • Conduct interviews with alumni, current members, and other stakeholders
  • Write engaging, polished articles between (300 – 1450 words) that align with the Foundation’s voice and mission
  • Source appropriate images and graphics to complement written content 
  • Meet established deadlines and quality standards (including documenting sources and image provenance and adherence to our style guide) 
  • Collaborate with the communications team on content strategy

Qualifications:

  • Strong writing and storytelling abilities
  • Excellent research skills and attention to detail
  • Experience conducting interviews (if applicable) and synthesizing information
  • Basic understanding of visual content selection and placement
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with Greek life or fraternal organizations preferred
  • Background in journalism, communications, or related field beneficial
